Lapland Hotels Äkäshotelli

We spent a night in a beautiful log cottage. The accomodation was super clean, quiet and cosy and it had everything that might be needed for a short stay like ours, or even a longer holiday. The only thing that could be improved is the shower (upgrading to a shower door would be better than the dark black shower curtain that didn't allowed much light into the shower cabinet), but it's not a mayor problem. It would be nice to have some tea bags or coffee inside the room/cottage, but it is not a big problem as well, as we enjoyed an amazing breakfast at the hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was good. There are reindeer everywhere around the accomodation, and the location is wonderful, with many places where you can walk, hike, bike, etc.

I was a bit sceptic about this accomodation since I mostly try to book accommodations with 8+ ratings. However I feel the rating does not give it justice. We stayed in a cabin and it was very cute with a fireplace. You can easily cook yourself and have some relaxing time in the sauna. The cabin were also spacious enough for at least 2 people. The breakfast in the hotel was also very good and well prepared.

Great winter holiday stay. Amazing breakfast, adequate kitchenette, giving the option to cook ourselves. Close to the village with supermarket and equipment rentals.

it’s the second time we stay in a log cabin in wintertime and it has been great. Good cleaning service, breakfast, location, fireplace. Very relaxing log cabin.
